With over 12 million businesses in the U.S. owned by women, more than a third  are owned by Black women. And as these businesses continue to grow, we can use  our buying power to support them.

#1 Investing in Them

Investing in Black women-owned businesses can be done through shopping or, if possible, by investing in their actual company through crowdfunding or similar platforms.

#2. Sharing through social media

Whether you have a large or small social media following, sharing the brand throughout your network helps spread brand awareness. In fact, you may have someone in your network that has been searching for exactly what that business is selling.

#3 Writing a review

Many companies thrive on customer reviews, and Black women-owned businesses are no exception. Leaving a positive review on Google, Yelp, and/or their actual website can be helpful for the business and other potential customers.

The options listed above are just some of the few ways you can support Black women-owned  businesses. Don’t be afraid to support them in your own way because these businesses can grow exponentially with the Black community backing them.
