A collaboration between Cambridge University, Oxford University, and Boston College piloting the 4-day work week has been underway for 2 months. Over 70 companies - 50 in the U.K. and 38 in the U.S. and Canada started this pilot to see how the 4-day work week would affect employees.

The results so far are staggering!

The program hasn’t even hit the halfway point and already, Black workers like Leondra Palmer want it to stick around, calling the shift life changing. Her opinion echoes that of most employees involved. They’re finding that they’re less stressed and able to achieve more both in work and in play with this new structure.

The Great Resignation, as it’s been called, underscored how fried Black employees are. People in our community have been quitting jobs left and right due to high levels of stress, burnout, and workload. This new work week structure has already proven effective at lowering or completely eliminating these working conditions.

Studies from similar experiments have shown that there’s typically a 40% increase in production and 60% increase in worker happiness and satisfaction with this plan!

The 40 hour, 5-day work week is antiquated and is pushing Black folks to our breaking point. Less stress, less burnout and an easier workload? We love to see it!
