Courtney Adeleye only had $500 to her name when starting her brand The Mane Choice in 2013. By 2019, the business amassed $100 million in sales, and its products were found in retail stores nationwide. Now, Adeleye is creating opportunities for other Black women.
Adeleye recently launched a new wellness brand called Olbali, and she’s giving people the opportunity to become an entrepreneur by being a direct-selling associate. “The industry calls them ‘independent distributors,’ I like to call them ‘business associates,’” says Adeleye.
There are currently over 1,200 Olbali Business Associates, and most of them are Black women. “We’re the ones that are least funded,” Adeleye said. “We’re the ones that people partner with the least. So to be able to have that accessibility for someone who has done some things that they’re trying to do is very attractive and smart."
The millionaire says she’s determined to change the lives of over one million families over the next few years with the business opportunities Olbali plans to bring.
