Education

We have to invest in educating the next generation of scholars, leaders, and revolutionaries. That’s where historically Black colleges and universities come in. They not only help affirm the identities and values of young people, but prioritize research that benefits OUR community as well.

Can you make space in your budget to support a local HBCU?

Criminal Justice Reform

It’s our right to speak freely, protest the status quo and demand that the issues that harm our community are addressed. But even peaceful protesting can result in detainment.

If you’re participating in community activism, consider saving money for a bail fund. That way you’ll know when folks on the front lines face retaliation, they’ll have their legal charges covered.

Everyday Essentials

There are many Black-owned shops, subscription services, and direct-to-consumer online establishments that deserve your support. Have you researched any lately?

Investing

If you’re interested in supplying capital for publicly traded corporations that take ethics and social issues very seriously, consider investing in socially responsible exchange traded funds. The Impact Shares NAACP Minority Empowerment ETF (NACP) is just one example.

Leisure

Leisure spending at a Black-owned establishment of your choice is the kind of support your local Black small business owners needs during this time of economic hardship!
