Prices of foods, goods and services have increased faster in 2021 than they have in a REALLY long time. But rather than raise prices, some companies are lowering the quality of their services instead.
With all of these unfortunate changes, our experiences as consumers are really suffering. The economic system prides itself on making money no matter what – even if consumers voice their disappointment.
Businesses are losing a lot of money because consumers are refusing to keep quiet about the poor customer service they’ve endured. A customer’s experience is valuable and where we choose to spend our hard-earned money is important and should be appreciated.
Is it better to have lower prices if the quality of service isn’t great, or do we like to pay for a better experience? It’s unfortunate that we can’t have both because our economic system prioritizes money and sales over people’s satisfaction and experience.
