Bought toothpaste, any over the counter-drugs, or vitamins from Family Dollar lately? A recent announcement from Family Dollar affects these customers. The retail chain is recalling hundreds of their products.
The recalled products were sold in 23 states including Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
Judith McMeekin, an associate commissioner in the Office of Regulatory Affairs at the F.D.A. criticized Family Dollar for the conditions of recalled products. “Families rely on stores like Family Dollar for food, medicine and other products, and they expect those items to be safe,” says McMeekin.
Consumers with recalled products sold between June 1 and October 4, 2023 can return them to the store they purchased without a receipt. The company has ensured that recalled products will get a full refund.
