Who doesn’t need a little extra cash right now? Driving for Uber or Lyft is cool, but those aren’t the only side hustles out there. Check out these four lesser-known ideas to make some cash on the side.

#1: Flipping Thrift Items

You can get some beaten up, but high quality, furniture at a thrift store. If you’re handy, clean it up, repaint it, and sell it on eBay, Craigslist, or Facebook! Beyond furniture, you can find good deals on other items at the thrift store – clean them up and resell them!

#2: Walking/Sitting Dogs

If you’re a pet lover, walking dogs or pet sitting are great options. Check out Rover.com or post an ad online or in your neighborhood offering your services.

#3: Proofreading

If you find yourself cringing at your friends’ misspellings online or notice typos a lot, this hustle could be for you. All writers need help with grammar, spelling, and such. Proofread Anywhere has tips to get you started, and there’s even a Black Proofreaders Network!

#4: Moving & Other Tasks

If you have a truck, helping people in your area move house can be a great gig. Everyone needs a little help once in a while – if you have free time, check TaskRabbit and see if you can help someone move, clean, garden, or another task!
