Middle Class Americans Will Benefit Most From Fourth Stimulus Package

Over the course of an ongoing pandemic that shut down countless Black businesses and left many of us without safe jobs, the U.S. government offered three stimulus checks totaling a measly $3,000 – more if you have dependents. But don’t worry, more stimulus is on its way! But not for everyone.

California is offering its residents the biggest tax rebate in the country, including a $600 stimulus check, a rent assistance package, and also covering overdue water and utility bills. Not a California resident, though? You could still be in luck!

U.S. residents could already be receiving another stimulus if they qualify for “plus-up” payments – for people whose income went down in 2020. There might be another round of checks for all U.S. residents, too – but this depends on your local government.

The Biden administration allocated $350 billion in emergency funds to local governments, and the amount each area gets is determined by their unemployment numbers. This may not mean checks for everyone, though – cities and states determine where the money goes.

The pandemic is finally coming to an end, but isn’t over! Another round would help our community with bills while the job market and economy balances out. We, specifically, have been primarily disadvantaged economically – and another round of checks is sorely needed as we attempt to get back on our feet.
