Gas prices are hitting record highs! Some blame the war in Ukraine, some blame the lack of oil drilling on protected land in the United States. Whatever the reason, here are some useful tips on how to save at the pump, especially if simply driving less isn’t an option!

#1: Gas Rewards

A credit card that offers cash back on gas purchases is a smart way to earn money while paying for gas. Also, many grocery stores have a rewards systems that save shoppers money off their gas the more they shop at their stores.

#2: Gas Apps

Apps and websites that track gas prices, like GasBuddy and Gas Guru, search your area to find the cheapest prices. And many of them are free!

Keeping your tires inflated will save you money by improving your car’s gas mileage. Also, using Google Maps or your phone’s GPS – even if you know where you’re going – allows you to select certain routes to maximize your fuel efficiency. You can choose the shortest route or one with fewer turns, and you can avoid gas guzzling traffic.

High gas prices might be here to stay. The best way to save is to drive less – but if you have to drive, hopefully these tips can help you save money at the pump!
