Social Security checks are getting their biggest increase since the 1980s. This is huge for everyone that relies on Social Security – but it also reveals some problems as well.

Our economic system has failed everyone – but specifically lower-income, disabled and older people have been struggling for years. This is a long-overdue increase, but a better option would be for payments to be explicitly tied to the cost of living!
