Economists estimated that enslavers extracted over $97 trillion dollars of free labor from our ancestors. Generations of Black people working for free building the United States to the world power it is today. So where are our profits?

Unfortunately, we have been systemically denied any access to building wealth. Life changing legislation like the Homestead Act promising land and the GI Bill in 1944 provided funds to white veterans only.

We face a “Black Tax” just for existing in this society. From being paid less to lacking access to wealth-building tools, we pay for our enslaved ancestors' work every day.

When one realizes just how much the U.S. has exploited our ancestors, the case for reparations grows stronger. Reparations could cost the government trillions but that's nothing in comparison to the profits this country has built from our free labor.

America used our bodies to its benefit, and look at what we did for this nation. Now imagine what we can do together for OURSELVES.
